What is Shrine Mont?
Shrine Mont is one of two conference centers owned and operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. Shrine Mont is located at Orkney Springs, Virginia, in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains, about a two-hour drive from Alexandria. This lovely getaway site includes 1,100 acres of forestland with trails, lakes, hills, and streams at the edge of the George Washington National Forest, a stone's throw from the West Virginia state line. The best thing about St. Paul's Shrine Mont Weekend is that everything is optional. You can partake in all of the activities planned or only some. You can sit and rock, take a nap, or curl up with a good book.
